Care Team Assistant - Surgery - La Jolla

About the role

This is a Full-Time position (80 hours per pay period) with an 8-hour DAY shift located at our Scripps Green Hospital La Jolla. You will enjoy comprehensive benefits that cover health & wellness, career development, and retirement options among other benefits.

Responsibilities

• Aiding with OR bed setups.
• Aiding with equipment and supplies.
• Performing housekeeping duties to turn over rooms between cases.
• Aiding in positioning patients for procedures.
• Aiding in transporting patients.
• Aiding in transporting labs/specimens.
• Providing excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team.
• Assisting with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician.
• Serving as a support for the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider.

Preferred

• Multiple patient care skills preferred.
• One year experience in health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities.
