About the role

The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in a senior care environment, ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care while supporting and mentoring the caregiving team.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality standards, hospitality, and documentation practices.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
• Monitor resident health changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and effective shift transitions.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED; age 18+.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care settings.
• Professionalism, accountability, compassion, and frontline leadership to model and promote quality care.
