Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver is a frontline leader responsible for providing exceptional resident care, coaching team members, and ensuring shift operations run smoothly. They serve as both a hands-on caregiver and a shift leader, managing assignments, attendance, and coverage, while supporting residents with activities of daily living (ADL). The role involves reviewing documentation, monitoring resident changes, and communicating concerns promptly. Additionally, they mentor new staff, promote safety and compliance, and model professionalism and compassionate service.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma/GED, age 18+
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making abilities
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care

Key Duties

• Lead shift assignments and manage coverage
• Provide hands-on care and support team development
• Review resident documentation and monitor health changes
• Ensure safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
