About the role

Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in a senior living environment, ensuring exceptional resident care while coaching and supporting the caregiving team. This role combines hands-on caregiving with frontline leadership, modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service.

Responsibilities

• Leading shift assignments
• Managing attendance
• Coordinating coverage
• Providing hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
• Coaching caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
• Reviewing charting to ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
• Monitoring resident changes and communicating concerns promptly
• Supporting onboarding and mentoring new team members
• Promoting safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• CPR certification
• First Aid certification
• Medication Administration certification

Qualifications

Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care is preferred.
