Caregiver Role Overview The Caregiver provides hands-on support to seniors, focusing on enhancing their quality of life through personalized care and meaningful interactions. Key responsibilities include assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care, while following Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and documenting changes. They promote safety, dignity, and independence, engage residents through conversation and activities, support dining services, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment. In Memory Care, they create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss. Effective communication with families and care team members is essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain), and qualities like compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills.
