Care Management Coordinator
About the role
Assist Department Leadership with compiling data, reports, and organizing information.
Manage Insurance Authorizations by tracking, following up, and submitting clinical documentation.
Maintain Authorization Tracking System to prevent delays or denials.
Coordinate Payroll & Timekeeping ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
Organize Department Files & Policies and maintain updated documentation.
Order & Manage Supplies within budget guidelines.
Prepare and Process Department Documents including correspondence, check requests, and project materials.
Maintain Confidentiality of patient, physician, and personnel information.
Coordinate Department Activities such as interviews, meetings, and in-service training.
Perform Audits & Follow-Up on billing/documentation requests and compliance systems.
Manage Inventory & Equipment ensuring proper operation and tracking.
Provide Administrative Support including scheduling, communication, and visitor management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Exceptional computer skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Computer skills in Word and Excel software programs and other computer applications
- Experience using Meditech will be a plus
- Outstanding interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with pressure and complaints
- Presents oneself in a professional manner through appearance and conduct
- Knowledge of Medicare, Commercial, and Managed Care guidelines
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 2+ years of related experience
- 2+ years in healthcare
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Qualifications
