Care Associate - Memory Care (MC) - PSS

About the Role

In this role, you will provide assistance to residents in the Memory Care Program with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity.

Responsibilities

• Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents.
• Assist, encourage, and use restorative interventions to help Memory Care residents maintain independence in daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
• Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and perform basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.
• Ensure timely response and follow-up to resident, family, and employee concerns to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers.

Schedule

• Day Shifts: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Evening Shifts: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Requirements

• Experience working with seniors with dementia, including participation in activities, is preferred.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and employees, and respond to emergencies.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.
• Basic computer skills with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Compassionate, kind, engaging, and helpful demeanor.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Problem-solving skills to handle variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required unless exempt due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs (government requirements or exclusions may apply).
