Care Associate - Memory Care (MC) - PRN

About the role

In this role, you will provide companionship and support to residents in the Memory Care Program, helping them maintain independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents.
• Offer assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions, as needed, for activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
• Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and perform basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.
• Ensure resident, family, and employee concerns receive timely responses and follow-ups, aiming for high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards all residents, visitors, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors with dementia is preferred.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond to emergency situations.
• You may need a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
• You must have basic computer skills, including proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• You are compassionate, kind, engaging, and helpful.
• You possess the ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• You can solve practical problems and interact positively with residents and colleagues.
