Care Associate - Memory Care (MC) (Nights)

About the role

We are seeking individuals who can embody our mission to enrich the lives of those we serve through Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect & Teamwork. In this role, you will provide assistance to residents in the Memory Care Program with their activities of daily living, helping them maintain their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents.
• Offer assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions, as needed, for Memory Care residents in activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
• Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and perform basic housekeeping tasks within the memory care neighborhood.
• Ensure that resident, family, and employee concerns receive timely responses and follow-ups, aiming to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards all residents, visitors, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors with dementia, including participation in activities, is preferred.
• You must demonstrate acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate effectively, and respond to emergency situations.
• You may need to hold a CNA or CHHA license based on your state's requirements.
• You should have basic computer skills, including proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• You are compassionate, kind, engaging, and helpful.
• You must be able to make independent decisions when necessary.
• You should have the ability to solve practical problems and handle situations where standardization is limited.
• You must maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards residents and colleagues.
