Care Associate (MedSurg2)

About the role

The Care Associate provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living, comfort measures, and maintains a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• It is the responsibility of every Novant Health team member to deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time.
• Works within the guidelines of nursing and Novant Health policies and procedures.
• Must exhibit strong communication skills; ability to write effectively; effective computer skills, and strong customer service skills.
• If needed in the MUR role, the Care Associate must be able to perform the MUR skills as indicated in the MUR job description.
• If needed in the Safety Attendant role, the Care Associate must complete appropriate training and be able to perform the Safety Attendant skills as indicated in the Safety Attendant job description.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion Novant Health sponsored training program, required.
• Life Support Responder (within 90 days of employment), required.
• Completion of Novant Health Safety Attendant training, required.
