Care Associate - Assisted Living (AL)

About the role

The Woodmark at Uptown is seeking Care Associates to assist residents in the Assisted Living Program with their activities of daily living, providing support while maintaining residents' dignity and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the schedule of the resident’s needs set out by the supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform the supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
• Respect residents’ confidentiality.

Qualifications

• You have at least one year of experience working in senior care.
• You have acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond to and communicate in emergency situations.
• You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license, depending on the state.
• You have basic computer skills.
• You are compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful.
• You have the ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
• You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high-stress situations.
• You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.

Pay

$17 - $18 per hour
