Care Assistant – Stevenage

About the role

At Visiting Angels North Hertfordshire, we are looking for caring, reliable people to join us in a part-time role supporting adults in their own homes. If you’re someone who enjoys helping others and believes in treating people with dignity, kindness, and respect, you may be the perfect addition to our team.

Responsibilities

• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Assisting with personal care and daily routines
• Preparing meals and helping with light household tasks
• Providing medication prompts
• Supporting with shopping, errands, or local outings

You will never be rushed — our minimum 1‑hour visits allow you to give thoughtful, meaningful support and build genuine relationships.

Requirements

• A driver with a reliable car
• Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
• A caring, dependable and compassionate nature
• No previous experience required — full training is provided
• Availability for part‑time hours, with flexibility to suit your schedule
• Driving licence and access to a car (required)
• Work authorisation: United Kingdom (required)
• English language (required)

Pay: £13.25–£19.88 per hour; Mileage: 35p per mile.
