Care Aide - PCA

About the role

Visiting Angels of Brighton is hiring a Care Aide – PCA to support elderly and home-care clients across communities including Broomfield, Brighton, Wattenburg, Lafayette, Louisville, Todd Creek, Henderson, and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of senior adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Perform light housekeeping tasks
• Encourage and support clients in meeting exercise and fitness goals
• Prompt clients to take prescription medications on schedule
• Assist with grocery shopping and putting away groceries
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients based on their abilities
• Support clients with mobility and ambulation, including transportation to appointments and walks
• Act promptly in medical emergencies, reporting health changes or unusual circumstances

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation to client visits
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
• Compassion for vulnerable individuals and a desire for meaningful companionship
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
