Care Aide - PCA

About the role

Visiting Angels of Brighton is hiring a Care Aide - PCA to support elderly and home-care clients in staying at home or recovering at home with dignity. This role involves a variety of responsibilities tailored to each client’s needs, helping them maintain independence and quality of life in communities such as Thornton, Northglenn, Commerce City, Reunion, Ft. Lupton, Lochbuie, Hudson, Keenesburg, Frederick, Firestone, Dacono, Mead, Erie, Platteville, and others.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Manage light housekeeping tasks.
• Encourage clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the correct times.
• Assist with shopping, putting away groceries, or shopping on behalf of clients.
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, based on their abilities.
• Support clients with mobility and ambulation, including getting around the house, visiting the doctor, or taking walks.
• Act quickly in medical emergencies and report any health changes or unusual circumstances.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
• A compassionate heart for vulnerable individuals seeking meaningful companionship.
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.
