Cardiovascular Technician Trainee

About the role

The technician trainee position is designed for candidates who are in training for cardiovascular technician roles and are actively pursuing licensure or certification. This entry-level position supports diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures under the supervision of licensed physicians and certified Cath Lab Tech staff.

Responsibilities

• Support physicians and licensed staff during cardiac catheterizations
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning, skin preparation, and equipment setup
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
• Monitor and document patient vital signs under supervision
• Prepare and operate Cath lab equipment under guidance (hemodynamics, contrast, injectors etc)
• Assist with post-procedure care and room turnover
• Follow all hospital safety policies, radiation safety guidelines and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Graduated of an accredited cardiovascular technology program within 6 months
• License or certification pending (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
• BLS and ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
