About the role

Pfizer’s Cardiology (CARD) Team is dedicated to delivering breakthrough therapies for patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) or venous thromboembolism (VTE). The Cardiology Health & Science Professional (HSP) drives territory sales and relationship development by promoting products, analyzing markets, and engaging customers both in-person and virtually. The role requires deep customer and disease-state expertise, strategic business planning, and strong collaboration with internal teams to meet compliance and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales performance in an assigned territory.
  • Engage with healthcare providers and customers through face-to-face and virtual interactions.
  • Develop and execute territory call plans, identifying and implementing live and virtual engagement strategies to maximize impact.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships using digital tools and evolving engagement methods.
  • Leverage internal reports and analytics to identify and pursue strategic business opportunities.
  • Educate providers on unbranded and branded product value propositions for relevant patient populations using approved clinical and disease-state resources.
  • Collaborate effectively and compliantly across teams to address customer inquiries and advance Pfizer objectives.
  • Complete all administrative tasks in a timely and compliant manner.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Professional sales or promotional activity.
    • Small business ownership or entrepreneurial experience.
    • Marketing, customer service, or account management.
    • Relevant healthcare or scientific roles (e.g., RN, Pharmacist, PT, OT).
    • Educator (e.g., Teacher, Principal).
    • Full-time military experience.
  • OR an associate’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must live within 25 miles of the territory border.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with a compliant driving record; any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within the past 7 years is disqualifying.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical sales, or medical-related marketing.
  • Strong track record of sales or marketing success and territory management.
  • Outstanding communication skills and demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
  • Experience with applicable disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Knowledge of territory customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
  • Residence within the territory boundaries.

Pay

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $76,000 to $199,600. During initial new hire sales training, the role is classified as salary non-exempt, entitling the employee to overtime pay. Upon certification, the role transitions to an overtime-exempt position. Additionally, the role offers a quarterly Sales Incentive bonus.
