Responsibilities

• Performs both cardiac and vascular ultrasound testing to include 2D echo/Doppler, dobutamine stress, exercise stress, and multiple vascular procedures including carotids, arterials, venous duplex, aorta, and renal artery duplex
• Performs other related duties as assigned by manager, supervisor or lead sonographer
• Provides cardiac and vascular ultrasound to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Provides all necessary documentation and preliminary interpretation of results

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) – Required

Work Experience

• No experience required
• 2 years of experience in each modality in a hospital inpatient, outpatient, or ambulatory setting – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) – Required
• Must be credentialed through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI) in both modalities at time of hire – Required
• Echocardiography: Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) – Required
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) – Required
• Vascular Testing: Vascular Technologist (RVT) through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) – Required
• Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) through the Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI) – Required
• Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography [RT(VS)] – Required
