Cardiovascular Scheduler, Day Shift, Cardiology

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Scheduler for our Cardiology Unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor in-bound fax and email traffic following through with scheduling tasks such as booking various departments as needed
• Retrieve voicemails from Live Vox three times a day
• Function as a Scheduler during lunches and staffing shortages
• Assist Benefits Specialist with insurance verification and obtaining pre-authorizations as needed for cases booked greater than 48 hours prior to appointment date and time
• Assist Schedulers with insurance verification and obtaining pre-authorizations for cases booked less than 48 hours prior to the appointment date and time
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Two years of Medical Scheduling, Insurance Coverage and Benefits, or Patient Access experience
• Strong customer service skills, critical thinking and analytical skills, proven ability to communicate with others in a positive manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual a plus

Schedule

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Hours per Week: 40 hours per week (4x10hr shifts)
• Typical Daily Schedule: between the hours of 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Shift Type: Day
• Holiday Requirements: follow company holiday calendar
• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay

Pay Range: $20.07 - $26.42

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as Non-Exempt.
