Responsibilities
- Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed.
- Administers medications and performs treatments according to policy and training.
- Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and medications.
- Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
- Produces accurately written and promptly completed medical records for each patient.
- Maintains authenticity and security of medical records, following prescribed processes for amending documents.
- Performs procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in therapeutic cardiac and electrophysiology laboratories.
- Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds in hospital per policy.
- Provides training for procedures within their competency and assists with orientation, training, and education of new personnel.
- Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to improve patient outcomes and documents activities as needed.
- Participates in unit/service line budgeting processes to ensure a cost-effective, quality-focused environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation
- Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy
- Knowledge of Vascular anatomy
- Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
- Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

Qualifications
- Associate degree in healthcare related field
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field preferred
- 1+ relevant healthcare experience
- 2+ years in cardiac cath/EP/neurosciences/ critical care, or interventional radiology preferred
Skills
- Knowledge of complex peripheral intervention procedures, peripheral diagnostic procedures and peripheral intervention procedures (preferred)
- Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation (required)
- Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy (required)
- Knowledge of Vascular anatomy (required)
- Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring (required)
