Cardiovascular Cardiographic Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Interprets cardiovascular cardiac rhythm.
• Identifies patient cardiac rhythm as observed on a monitoring device.
• Initiates appropriate action should ECG pattern change.
• Runs permanent rhythm strip when appropriate.
• Informs nurse in charge of pattern changes appropriate.
• Informs nurse in charge of pattern changes when appropriate.
• Identifies rhythm strip as to patient name, rate time, and interval reading.
• Ability to interpret arrhythmias including sinus arrest, pacemakers, aberrancy, and blocked beats.
• Ability to distinguish subtle EKG findings, concealed conduction, reciprocal conduction, trifascicular block, his bundle recording.
• Identify and describe pathophysiological effect on EKG rhythm.
• Performs all clerical duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum Work Experience: One (1) month to three (3) months on-the-job training to attain proficiency of performance of assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS.
