Responsibilities
- Perform a broad spectrum of cardiothoracic surgical procedures including: Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), Valve repair and replacement, Thoracic oncology procedures, Minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery, Emergency cardiothoracic surgical coverage
- Participate in shared hospital and cardiothoracic call coverage
- Provide inpatient and outpatient surgical management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across closely located hospital campuses
- Participate in quality improvement, clinical outcomes, and service line growth initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation activities in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Participate in medical staff committees and physician leadership
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
- Experience in both cardiac and thoracic surgery strongly preferred
- Experience with robotic surgery and the Da Vinci Xi platform preferred
- Eligible for unrestricted New Jersey medical license
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills

St. Clare's Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $550,000 to $600,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
