About the role

The Practice Van Buren County Veterinary Clinic offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, including preventative health procedures and products suitable for all ages and breeds. We provide routine, major, and emergency medical, surgical, and dental services in Clinton, AR and the surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

• Aid veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatment
• Maintain inventory and prepare prescriptions
• Monitor hospitalized pets
• Perform routine in-house laboratory work
• Provide client education on veterinary care and procedures
• Assist with surgical procedures

Qualifications

• Ability to work on weekends as required
• Previous veterinary experience preferred, including ability to properly and safely restrain patients
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 50 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 50 pounds with assistance
• Knowledge of OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
• Basic math skills to calculate medication dosages
• Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS office applications
• Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety

Pay

USD $12.00 - USD $14.00 /Hr.
