Cardiology Nurse Specialist

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with MSN
• Maintains current and unrestricted State of Missouri licensure
• 5 years’ experience in Specialty or Related field and/or Supervising Experience
• Familiar with Basic Nursing Performance Standards as outlined in the MO Nurse Practice Act
• Demonstrates clinical competence and ethical practice
• Demonstrates ability to function within an employed clinical environment
• Demonstrates ability to function collaboratively with the Group Director and all physicians in the Cardiology practice
• Commitment to community-based delivery of primary care clinical services within the community served
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and enthusiasm for change
• BLS and ACLS, as appropriate

Responsibilities

• To identify needs/gaps in education and quality performance with the clinical team
• Oversee and facilitate resources identified by GAP analysis to improve clinical knowledge and process improvement for the organization
• Organize and assist with the development and implementation of new procedures and programs
• Cookordinate and review data from all program registries that are used in association with Cardiology at this organization
