Cardiology Medical Assistant
About the Role
The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care, responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. This role performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments, typically working on semi-routine tasks with discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting procedures.
You will report onsite to the Clinic Administrator at the Conviva Goliad Care Center, located at: 1567 Goliad Rd, San Antonio, TX 78223.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
- Delivers direct patient care dependent on active certification.
- Exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and adapting procedures, processes, and techniques.
Requirements
- Successfully completed MA school/training program or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience with Provider approval.
- 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
- 1+ year of Cardiology experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR Certified.
Preferred Qualifications
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Value-Based Care experience, including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.

- If selected, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Pay
The starting base pay range for this full-time (40 hours per week) role is $43,000 - $56,200 per year. The range may vary based on geographic location, and individual pay will depend on demonstrated skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
This role is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
