Cardiology (ECG) Tech I

About the Role

At Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, you'll be part of a 357-bed, not-for-profit Level II Trauma Center that has served the Santa Clarita Valley since 1975. As a Cardiology (EKG) Tech I, you will perform electrocardiodiagnostic studies, assist with scheduling both inpatients and outpatients, channel cardiology diagnostic records to physicians for interpretation, and maintain related equipment and supplies.

You will work alongside an award-winning team delivering advanced medical services, including comprehensive heart and vascular care, stroke treatment, cancer care, women’s imaging, emergency and trauma care, and cardiac rehabilitation. As part of Los Angeles County’s STEMI receiving network, the hospital provides lifesaving cardiac intervention through the state-of-the-art Roberta G. Veloz Cardiac Cath Lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrocardiodiagnostic studies, including stress testing and 12-lead ECG.
• Assist with scheduling for both inpatients and outpatients.
• Channel all cardiology diagnostic records to the physician for interpretation.
• Maintain all related equipment and supplies.
• Promote confidence, cooperation, and relaxation of patients to ensure accurate diagnostic information.
• Work independently and take call as needed.

Requirements

• Completion of a basic ECG course.
• Current BLS provider card.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year of technical and clinical experience in a Cardiology Department; hospital experience preferred.
• General background in inpatient and outpatient care preferred.

Pay

Opening pay range: $23.00 to $30.51 per hour.
