About the role

The Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center (ASLMC) Electrophysiology Clinic is seeking a Cardiology Device Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional travel to other clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday: 9am- 5pm. Travel required weekly at times to other clinics as far north as Good Hope Rd. in Milwaukee or as far south as Racine. Mileage reimbursed.
  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
  • Collaborate with other health care disciplines in order to provide quality and continuity of care.

Requirements

  • BSN or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience, with at least one-year current experience in EP/Device clinic or 5+ years of cardiovascular experience.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
  • Proficient in interpretation of EKG/cardiac rhythms/arrhythmias.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • CPR certification required upon hire or within 60 days of hire.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.

Qualifications

  • BSN or equivalent.

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.

Pay

$35.50 – $53.25 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 0800-1700. No weekends or holidays.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Frequent periods of extended standing and sitting.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.
  • Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
