About the role

As a General Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider, you will join a dynamic, award-winning Cardiovascular Team at St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale, WA. Recognized for exceptional patient care and outcomes throughout the Puget Sound area, this role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate and expert care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including 14 cardiologists, 13 advanced practice providers, interventional and structural cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiac imagers, cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, and vascular surgeons.
  • Participate in a robust structural heart program, including TAVR and Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO).
  • Support a Virginia Mason Franciscan Cardiovascular Fellowship Program.
  • Engage in a hybrid clinic and inpatient role, spending approximately 50% of time in outpatient clinics and 50% supporting inpatient rounding alongside attending cardiologists.
  • See a general cardiology patient panel and function as an integral part of the care team across both settings.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, with a four-day work week.
  • APPs participate in weekend call on a rotating basis, approximately every 6th weekend, with no overnight call obligation.

Requirements

  • ARNP’s: Active Washington State Registered Nurse License AND an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License or ability to obtain.
  • PA-C: Certification as a Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority required for the specific practice.
  • BLS certification.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, hospital staff, patients, and their families.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
  • Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of cardiovascular advanced practice provider work experience.
  • ACLS certification.

Pay

$150,200 – $181,900 per year.
