Cardiologist
Job Summary
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks applications for cardiologists to join a dynamic academic program, with opportunities to create unique clinical practices and engage in teaching and clinical research at a world-class university.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Position responsibilities for patient care at UW Health locations, including inpatient cardiovascular medicine service and night call; outpatient cardiovascular services including clinic coverage at Madison based clinics as well as regional sites based on the needs of the division; diagnostic cardiovascular testing, including but limited to, electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitors, transthoracic echocardiography, and a variety of modalities of stress testing and non-invasive imaging.
- Provide clinical teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.
- Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.
Required Qualifications
- WI medical license by start date of position.
- ABIM Board-certified or board eligible in cardiology by start date of position.
- Completion of a US internal medicine residency and fellowship trained in cardiology by the start date of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
- For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.
- For an appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.
Compensation
