About the role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Cardio Vascular Tech to join the Cardiac Catheter Lab at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. The position offers opportunities for professional growth, supportive collaboration, and a culture committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, angioplasties, and peripheral vascular interventions
• Preparing patients for cardiovascular procedures by explaining the process, addressing questions, and ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy throughout their care
• Operating and maintaining specialized cardiovascular imaging and monitoring equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and procedural data
• Maintaining a sterile procedural environment by following infection prevention protocols and supporting safe, efficient workflow in the cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology laboratory
• Accurately documenting procedure details, patient assessments, medications, supplies, and equipment usage within the electronic medical record and cardiovascular information systems
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures
• Performing equipment quality checks, monitoring inventory and procedural supplies, and reporting equipment issues to ensure uninterrupted patient care

Requirements

• A High School Diploma
• Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program
• Minimum of 6 months clinical experience preferred but not required
• Current RCIS certification or RAD license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey is $56.95 - $69.73 per hour.
