About the role
TouchPoint is seeking a Cardiac Transplant Dietitian in Indianapolis, IN. The role is available at TouchPoint at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis, a 500+ bed, Level 1 Trauma Center, with a Monday - Friday schedule, rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Become part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team serving patients in pre- and post-cardiac transplant care.
- Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for Cardiac Transplant patients, working with a collaborative team of 16 other nutrition professionals.
- Develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
- Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness.
- Contribute to Quality & Performance Improvement initiatives.
- Promote patient satisfaction and service goals through collaboration with the food service management team.
- Mentor and train staff and dietetic interns.
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Two years of work experience in specialty preferred.
Qualifications
- Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable.
- Specialty certification when required.
Skills
- Experience in Cardiac Transplant Nutrition.
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
