About the role

TouchPoint is seeking a Cardiac Transplant Dietitian in Indianapolis, IN. The role is available at TouchPoint at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis, a 500+ bed, Level 1 Trauma Center, with a Monday - Friday schedule, rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Become part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team serving patients in pre- and post-cardiac transplant care.
• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for Cardiac Transplant patients, working with a collaborative team of 16 other nutrition professionals.
• Develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
• Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness.
• Contribute to Quality & Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Promote patient satisfaction and service goals through collaboration with the food service management team.
• Mentor and train staff and dietetic interns.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Two years of work experience in specialty preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable.
• Specialty certification when required.

Skills

• Experience in Cardiac Transplant Nutrition.
• Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
