About the role
The Registered Dietitian will ensure accurate assessment of nutritional status and develop plans to improve it, providing guidance to various departments within the Food and Nutrition Services.
Responsibilities
- Assess nutritional status of patients/residents
- Provide guidance to Director of Food and Nutrition Services, FNS Manager, NDTR, and FNS Department staff
- Offer advice to Administrator and guidance to FNS department
- Work in the clinical area with emphasis on food and nutrition services
- May include all aspects of food and nutrition services
Qualifications
- Sincere interest in foodservice & nutrition
- Enjoy working with senior care living population and other healthcare patients
- Meet Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for RDNs
- One year's experience in clinical nutrition desired but not essential
- Experience of an accredited Dietetic Internship or equivalent training expected
- Thorough knowledge of and ability to apply nutrition principles
- Able to accurately assess nutritional status and plan care for patients
