Cardiac/Telemetry Nurse

About the role

Provides direct patient care on cardiothoracic and cardiology units, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role involves working in a specialized telemetry unit with monitoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
• Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engages in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
• Ensures effective communication across the care continuum and maintains safety protocols.

Requirements

• RN license required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred
• No prior experience required; 2+ years of experience preferred
