Cardiac Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP)

About the role

Facility seeking an Outpatient Cardiac Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for locum tenens support to fill a current need. Position is based in Hackensack, NJ – “A City in Motion,” a suburb 12 miles from Midtown Manhattan and 7 miles from the George Washington Bridge, with historic points of interest such as the First Dutch Reformed Church (1696), Main Street Woolworth building, and United Jersey Bank headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients.
• Perform minor post‑operative procedures including wound debridement and packing placement.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey medical license.
• New Jersey Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Credentialing expected within 60‑90 days.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Pay

$101.85 – $110.25 per hour.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 4 days, 10‑hour shifts.
