About the Role

This 12-month paid postgraduate fellowship is designed to prepare APPs for advanced practice in high-acuity cardiac surgery and critical care environments, with a focus on developing clinical expertise, critical thinking, and leadership within multidisciplinary teams, starting in February 2027.

Responsibilities

• Participate in 60 hours of work per week (50 clinical and 10 academic hours).
• Develop expertise in hemodynamic management and advanced monitoring.
• Care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
• Manage mechanical circulatory support (ECMO, LVAD, IABP).
• Perform ventilator management and critical care procedures.

Requirements

• Master’s prepared Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Pennsylvania state licensure and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification or master's prepared Physician Assistant is required at time of start.
• Ability to commit and work at least 60 hours (includes class time) per week (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
• BLS, ACLS required.
