Cardiac Sonographer PRN

Job Summary

As an Echo/Vascular Tech, you will work with a team that considers themselves a family where each member works hard to support each other. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) procedures such as transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, intra-operative echocardiograms within the inpatient, outpatient, or intraoperative settings.
• Provide physicians with complete, accurate anatomical and functional diagnostic information.
• Accurately prepare patients for procedures and correlate patient history with all tests that have been ordered by physicians.
• Follow established surveillance, prevention and control of infection policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection by use of personal protective measures.
• Expertly perform all ultrasound procedures in assigned specialty service areas utilizing a variety of equipment and techniques in accordance with established clinical practice standards, hospital guidelines and protocols.
• May perform other duties related to clinical diagnostic testing and/or operational tasks that manifest a teamwork environment.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date (RDCS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Certificate must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
