Cardiac Sonographer (Per Diem)

About the role
Intermediate-level Echocardiographer. Performs and assists with a variety of adult echocardiographic tests and related duties according to department policies and procedures to provide high-quality diagnostic studies. Able to obtain pediatric echocardiographic images according to CCMC pediatric protocol. Provides safe and appropriate care to patients by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. Provides preliminary findings to the Cardiologist to aid in the interpretation of the study.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in a health-related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One year of previous echocardiography experience; two years in a hospital setting preferred.
- RCS by CCI or RDCS by ARDMS certification required.
- Valid CPR certification required.
