Cardiac Sonographer - Per Diem

Position: Cardiac Sonographer Role Overview: Perform non-invasive ultrasound scans of the heart to aid physicians in diagnosing medical conditions. Responsible for operating ultrasound equipment, conducting procedures such as stress echos, transesophageal, and 2-D echos, and ensuring proper disinfection and maintenance of equipment. Explain procedures to patients, monitor their condition, and assist them during exams, considering all age groups from neonatal to geriatric. Administer LV enhancement imaging and Image Enhancing Agents as appropriate, accurately document studies, and transmit images for reporting and archiving. Key Responsibilities Coordinate testing, respond promptly to stat procedures, and assist in patient movement.Ensure equipment functionality, maintain area cleanliness, and order supplies.Participate in training and self-scheduling, share on-call duties, and pursue professional development through CE activities.Adhere to hospital policies, protect patient information, and properly chart procedures for billing. Qualifications & Skills Current registration in Cardiac Sonographer/Echo RDCS or eligible.CPR certification required.Previous experience with neonates and pediatrics preferred.
