About the role
The Cardiac Sonographer II performs diagnostic ultrasound exams and invasive procedures using ultrasound equipment, adhering to established standards and practices. Provides patient care across all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, and communicates effectively with staff and radiologists. Operates ultrasound machinery to produce accurate imaging for clinical diagnosis.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient cardiac sonographer
- Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Necessary professional credentials: RCS, ARDCS, or CCI in cardiac sonography
