Cardiac Sonographer - Eastside Cardiovascular - PRN - Days
Responsibilities
- Sets up and adjusts all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures.
- Performs routine and complex studies and assists in a variety of imaging procedures.
- Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.
- Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
- Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
- Maintains a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
- Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Must be able to start IVs.
- Able to collaborate and work as part of a team.
Requirements
- Certification/Licences Required - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Cardiac Sonographer with experience in cardiac echo and stress echo required.
- One or more of the following required:
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least 1 year of experience in a related field. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have a good driving record. Must have a valid Social Security number. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Skills
Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of cardiographic equipment and techniques. Knowledge of quality assurance procedures. Knowledge of regulatory requirements. Proficiency in using medical imaging equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Attention to detail.

Pay
