Cardiac Sonographer

Position: Cardiac Sonographer Location: Elmhurst, IL Pay Range: $33.35 - $51.69 per hour, based on experience and expertise Highlights: Full-time role with sign-on bonuses for new grads ($7,500) and experienced staff ($10,000). Responsibilities: Under general supervision, obtain two-dimensional ultrasonic images of the heart, including 2D echocardiograms, Doppler, and stress tests. Assist physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms, gather patient data for cardiologist interpretation, explain procedures to patients, and provide customer service. Precept students and handle complex cases. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from CCI within 12 months of hire. Current CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross. Skills: Proficiency in echocardiography techniques, patient communication, and ability to perform under supervision. Experience with complex health issues is preferred.
