About the role
As a Cardiac Sonographer, you perform and maintain records of various types of echocardiograms for the cardiac patient population.
Responsibilities
- Performs various types of echocardiograms of cardiac patients
- Maintains and troubleshoots ultrasound equipment
- Maintains/Operates High Level Disinfecting TEE probe cleaner per manufacturer’s recommendations
- Documents and maintains accountability of all ultrasound equipment
- Performs clerical duties as necessary for the department
Requirements
- Current registry or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Must be registered within 3 months of hire date
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy
- Graduate of an accredited school of Echocardiographic Study (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
- Associate Degree
- (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer
