Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking Cardiac Sonographers (Echocardiographer) to become a member of a dynamic team that focuses on providing an optimal cardiovascular imaging experience. The team supports a robust structural heart program, including procedures such as transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements, Watchman and MitraClip implantation, and alcohol septal ablation procedures. You will work with other teams of health care professionals to provide a positive experience to all patients, families, and visitors.

Our Cardiovascular Imaging Lab is accredited by the IAC - in both Echo and Vascular Imaging, and you will have the opportunity to work at a variety of locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility, and several clinics in the Madison area.

Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be part of a team that provides an optimal cardiovascular imaging experience. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and procedures, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a positive experience for patients, families, and visitors.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ultrasonography program and/or registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited ultrasonography training program or related field
• Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS) upon hire
• Basic Life Support/CPR upon hire

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or a relevant health sciences field (preferred)
• 2 years of echocardiography experience (preferred)
• Registered in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound (RCS or RDCS and RVT or RVS) (preferred)

Pay

This position may be eligible for a $10,000.00 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). Additional components of compensation may include weekend differential, on-call pay, and relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants.

Schedule

Work schedule options include 40, 32, or 24 hours per week (full and part-time positions). Monday – Friday day shift, with Saturday and Sunday shifts 8:00AM – 4:30PM on a reasonable rotational basis at University Hospital. One hour call response time, with hours varying based on the operational needs of the department.
