Cardiac Sonographer

About the role

Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is seeking an exceptional, patient-focused Cardiac Sonographer to join their Heart Center and make a difference for their patients and the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic procedures on adult patients in the Cardiology Noninvasive Laboratory including M-Mode echocardiography, Two-Dimensional echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, pulsed, continuous wave, and color flow doppler echocardiography, stress echocardiography, dobutamine echocardiography, and transesophageal echocardiography.
• To perform related duties as assigned.
• Supports and participates in achieving departmental goals.

Requirements

• Registration or registry eligible as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or RCS must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Required to become certified in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in echocardiography or a bachelor’s degree in life science is preferred.
