Cardiac Rhythm Monitor Tech - House Telemetry, PRN, Days

This position is at our Augusta facility.

Schedule

Night shift, twelve-hour shifts (7 pm – 7 am) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous ECG monitoring through assessment of EKG strips and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias, including measurement of P-R intervals, QRS widths, and ST segment deviations.
• Troubleshoot monitoring problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions to correct the issue.
• Maintain inventories, supplies, hardware, and telemetry transmitters in working condition.
• Report malfunctions promptly.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• No prior work experience required; 1 year of experience as a monitor technician preferred.
• Successful completion of PHC telemetry monitoring competency assessment upon hire.
• Certification as a Certified Cardiac Monitor Telemetry Technician (CCMTT) through the American Education Certification Association preferred, or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International preferred.
