About the Role

Piedmont Heart Institute is seeking a BC/BE Cardiac Emergency Medicine-Critical Care Physician (with significant cardiac experience) for our Piedmont Atlanta Hospital location. In 2023 by volume, Piedmont Heart was 4th in the country for heart transplants and top 5 program for ECMO runs and LVAD implantations.

Responsibilities

• Supports a 42-bed CVICU and 22-bed CCU
• Runs a remote ECMO cannulation program
• Participates in the Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS) program, which is the first in the nation to earn ECLS Program Certification from DNV GL Healthcare
• Provides care in a Level I Cardiovascular Center with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, healthcare professionals, and physicians

Requirements

• BC MD or DO
• Active license in GA or eligible to obtain
• PREFERRED: 3 - 5 years' experience in Cardiac Critical Care role

Qualifications

• Strong interest in Mechanical Circulatory Support / ECMO
• Experience with cardiac surgery anesthesia and post-op care
