Responsibilities

• Monitors and evaluates critical cardiac rhythms and EKG analysis in-person and from remote transmissions based on global billing periods.
• Interrogates, interprets, and re-programs cardiac devices, providing full disclosure reports for physician approval and entry to EMR.
• Monitors heart failure reports remotely for ICD and CRT devices monthly, providing full disclosure reports to the cardiologist per notification protocol for approval and entry to EMR.
• Evaluates remote alerts daily from all device websites, retrieves and triages information, and prepares full disclosure reports for physician approval based on notification protocols.
• Determines when adequate test results have been obtained and consults supervisor when results are not adequate.
• Communicates critical findings to supervisor or physician directly and immediately.
• Schedules device interrogation appointments correctly based on global periods to support safe device follow-up care.
• Ensures all charges are entered accurately daily, including correct diagnosis codes.
