Cardiac Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant- Baystate Health

Position Highlights

Join our inpatient cardiac surgery team that provides specialized care for patients on the Cardiac Surgery Step-Down floor at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield MA. Our Heart & Vascular Service Line includes heart failure physicians, vascular surgeons, cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, anesthesiologists, radiologists, and advanced practitioners across 4 hospitals and multiple community sites. This position involves daily rounding, patient evaluation, care coordination, and discharge planning in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team. Facilitate smooth transitions of care between the ICU, step-down and discharge settings. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to optimize patient outcomes and prevent hospital readmissions. Serve as the primary liaison between the care team and patient/families, providing education.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with 3+ years of experience in cardiac surgery, cardiology, or critical care.

Pay

• Minimum= $130,500.
• Maximum= $165,300.

About the Role

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, Children’s Hospital, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group.
