Cardiac Clinic LPN

Full-time, day-shift position in the Healient Cardiology Clinic (Kansas City, MO). Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays.

About the role

The Cardiac Clinic LPN plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a specialized cardiology outpatient setting. Working closely with cardiologists and advanced practice providers, this position supports the assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with cardiovascular conditions through cardiac monitoring, patient education, and coordinated care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HIPAA compliance, infection control, and accurate documentation
• Provide patient care: vitals, cardiac assessments, medication administration, and EMR documentation
• Assist with cardiology procedures: EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitors
• Room patients and collect cardiac histories (chest pain, shortness of breath, hypertension)
• Perform cardiac triage calls and escalate concerns as needed
• Coordinate care: referrals, follow-ups, and diagnostic testing
• Educate patients on cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle changes

Requirements

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter
• IV certification upon hire
