Essential Responsibilities
- Maintains expertise in current radiographic imagery techniques as they relate to invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures.
- Orients inexperienced staff on the operation of laboratory equipment; troubleshoots malfunctions, and is knowledgeable of proper support personnel and instances when they need to be contacted.
- Anticipates adverse reactions / conditions when monitoring the effects of all procedural activities, and responds appropriately.
- Completes required documentation for procedures e.g. regulatory, billing protocols and image storage and archival.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology.
- Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) -OR- Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) -OR- Radiography (R) – OR-Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) certification issued by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist with Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
- ACLS
- Critical thinking, decisive and independent judgment.
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- PREFERRED: Associate Degree.
