Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN), Full Time, Day, On-Call Required

About the role

The role of Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (CCL RN) at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center involves assisting physicians and allied healthcare staff in performing various diagnostic and interventional cardiac/endovascular, EP, Vascular and structural procedures. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and telemetry experience, with a strong critical thinking/assessment skills set.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognizing subtle clinical changes
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care
• Taking an active role in a highly collaborative team environment where shared accountability and teamwork directly impact outcomes

Qualifications

• Cath Lab experience is strongly preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of critical care experience is required
• Telemetry experience required
• Strong critical thinking/assessment skills
• Must be I.V. certified from an approved facility or complete the requirements for I.V. certification within 90 days of hire to the unit
• Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs
• Current and active New Jersey RN licensure is required
• Baccalaureate Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) upon hire
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) upon hire
